Hyde Dam removal Project

The Hyde Dam removal project started today (09/07/21)

Located on the Second Branch of the White River in East Bethel, the Hyde Dam is no longer in use and is a complete barrier to fish passage. Removing the dam will reconnect 60 miles of native fish habitat in the White River watershed. Thanks to project manager White River Partnership for providing pictures of the dam removal - stay tuned this month for more photos of the project in progress. Thanks also to Embrace A Stream for investing grant funds and to all the TU members who donated to support this project through the TU/Orvis Challenge in 2019!"
