Fly Tying Demo

This upcoming Thursday, April 30th, we're planning to do another virtual fly tying demonstration with Vermont Law School student and steelhead and salmon guide, Andrew Ramsey. Andrew currently lives in South Royalton, Vermont and finds himself often swinging for trout on the White River before and after classes. Over the past several years, he has developed a deadly "White River Fly" that he plans to share with everyone (lucky for us, he's planning to show us two versions). Andrew grew up in Western Washington running around Mt. Rainier National Park and the Olympic Peninsula. As a child, Andrew started fishing from the Florida beaches during visits to see his grandparents. In 2015, Andrew caught the fly fishing bug and the rest was history. Shortly after, he began guiding primarily for salmon and steelhead on the Hoh River. Near the end of his first guiding season, he started tying for friends, clients, and a local fly shop. Andrew can often be found tying late at night post-studying and mailing flies back west to help support his law school education and addiction for chasing trout in Vermont.

We'll meet on Zoom at 7:00 p.m. (Thursday, April 30th). To join the Zoom meeting, please follow the instructions below:
