GUVTU October Chapter Meeting - Stripers on the Fly!

Happy almost Fall everyone! Our first GUVTU Chapter meeting of the year is lined up for Thursday October 1st, at 7 PM Eastern. Due to the ongoing viral pandemic, the meeting will be virtual, but this allows us to invite some outstanding guest speakers to our chapter meetings this year.

Our first invited speaker is Fred Jennings (pic below): Fred Jennings is an economist and third-generation fly fisher who writes (on occasion) about economics as well as about his various fly fishing adventures. He lives and guides in Ipswich, MA, using ultralight tackle and canoes to chase stripers in an Ipswich estuary. He's served on the boards and as an officer at both the Nor’East (MA) TU Chapter and the Boston Chapter. Fred has donated trips to support TU and other angling and conservation organizations over the years. He attended a GUVTU banquet at Hotel Coolidge a few years back to support our chapter with a contingent from the Boston group.

Please join us for what we all expect to be a fantastic presentation. Pop in virtually, say hi to fellow chapter members, hear about updates from our Chapter's ongoing conservation projects, and perhaps a local fishing secret or two :-).
