If you are or know a TU teenager interested in learning how to further help local fisheries, how to become a better TU leader, do a service project and fish; Then you might be interested in the TU Teen Summit being held at the Western Carolina University this summer. You will spend five days doing the above mentioned activities, as well as having fun on the river. It starts June 28th and goes through the 2nd of July. It is available for 8th through 12th graders who are TU members. There is an application process to get in, the details will be listed below. We hope to see you in Carolina this summer at the TU Teen Summit.

TU Teen Summit 2015 Application Using the link above, be prepared to answer the following questions:

1. How have you interacted with TU so far?

2. Why do you want to attend the TU Teen Summit and what do you hope to get from it?

3. Give an example of a time that you demonstrated leadership. What did you do?

4. What activity or benefit could TU offer that would most interest teenagers in your community?

5. Will you have time in your schedule after the Summit to dedicate to planning and participating in TU Teen programs? If so, do you have any unique skills that might be helpful to the group?

6. (for returning summiteers only) Why do you want to return to the summit? What do you think will be different for you this year?

7. Please give us the contact information (name, how you know this person, e-mail, phone number) of two individuals who can tell us why you are an outstanding candidate for TU’s Teen Summit.

Applications will be considered on a rolling basis. The last day to apply is April 18. Selected applicants should also be prepared to participate in a 10-minute phone interview. Participants will be selected on a rolling basis, with the last notifications on May 1st.
